At Sage & Willow, trees are part of our identity. Deforestation is one of the largest climate-related issues in the world today, and it is a concern that is close to our hearts.

For every candle sold, we will plant a new tree on your behalf.

We have partnered with One Tree Planted to help combat deforestation and make the world a greener place.

Our choice of packaging reflects Sage & Willow's own values. Candles are packaged without an individual box to reduce unnecessary waste.

We are proud to be completely plastic free in our packaging, sourcing environmentally friendly options everywhere possible. This includes recyclable and biodegradable hex wrap and tissue paper, along with water-soluble and biodegradable packing peanuts made from Australian corn starch. Our shipping boxes are also made from recycled materials, and everything from the box to the tape can be recycled.

Candle Wax Before Melting

At Sage & Willow, our candles are made from wax that is derived from natural soy beans. We only use 100% soy wax, with no sneaky additives.

Soy beans are a naturally occurring resource that is both biodegradable and renewable. Our wax can be easily disposed into the household green bin or home compost.

REUSE PIC_edited.jpg

We currently offer refill services for our own candles jars at a discounted price to local residents in Adelaide. This is an opportunity to reduce waste, and always have your favourite Sage & Willow candle burning. Information for refill services can be found on the Candle Refill page.

Our beautiful jars can also be reused around the home to avoid unnecessary waste. Use them as a pen or stationary pot, a holder for makeup brushes and other beauty items, storage for knick knacks, or even potting small plants and herbs!

Cleaning Instructions:

1. Fill jar with boiling water to melt and dislodge any leftover wax

2. Allow to cool, then remove hardened wax from the top, disposing into the green bin

3. Wipe clean with paper towel

4. Wash in warm soapy water

DO NOT pour melted wax down any drain
